Auckland has moved up to eighth in its quest to be the world’s most liveable city. Among the top 10 cities ranked by the Economist Intelligen­ce Unit, Auckland rates first equal for education, third for environmen­t and culture, fourth equal for stability, eighth equal for infrastruc­ture and tenth for healthcare. The city came ninth overall last year and tenth the year before. Melbourne is rated top.
