JETS: The Devonport JETS run has re-commenced for the summer. Choice of 3km and 5km routes along the Devonport waterfront. Every Wednesday until December 14. Bounce fit: Dance fitness class designed to maintain fitness while enjoying different styles of street Bike Kaipatiki is hosting a guided ride from Birkenhead to the CBD, to encourage community members to cycle to work.

This guided bike ride is intended for people who want to try commuting but aren’t sure how or where to use the right cycle paths. Riders should be comfortabl­e riding on the road and be able to cycle for a reasonable distance.

Most of the journey will be on protected cycleways, though some will be on shared paths and on the road.
