School for pre-schoolers
Country Footsteps Christian Preschool on Saxton Rd, New Plymouth, was officially opened on July 26 by New Plymouth District Mayor Neil Holdom. The opening was attended by the children and teachers of the Preschool and the Adventist Christian School as well as parents and the community.
Addressing the children Mayor Holdom shared his thoughts on how our young children are to build on the thoughts and ideas of adults and create more innovative ideas.
Mrs Timmins, principal of the Adventist Christian School, shared how many past principals have seen the need for a preschool and now children can be cared for and educated in a small unique Christian setting from the age of two years to 13 years of age.
Mrs Zohs, head teacher of Country Footsteps, said how working alongside the school would empower children and enabled them to experience seamless transitions. Mrs Zohs also said how nice it was to be able to share her Christian beliefs openly with children and families, as the centre is open from 7-45am to 5.15pm.
Parents wanting to have their children cared for and educated in a small rural Christian setting can now do so.
