FROM YOUR PAPER

North Taranaki Midweek - - YOUR LOCAL NEWS -

With the election just 24 days away, many of you will be thinking of how you will vote, the direction how society is headed and what you expect from our politicians.

The more cynical will say ‘not much’ but in fact we should expect certain behaviour and standards from them. We want them to be honest, after all they are making our laws. Corruption is not a part of our society but to maintain that everyone has to be vigilant.

We want them to make decisions that will be best for all sectors of the community and we want New Zealanders to make their contribution to society. It is not the government’s role to provide for families but it is its role to ensure that families are able to help themselves.

Today we ask three people how they are voting in the coming election and we got three different responses. It seems that this election will be difficult to call.

To help you stay informed the Midweek will speak to candidates on your behalf and bring you their answers to our questions.
