Ups and downs of life

North Taranaki Midweek - - YOUR LOCAL NEWS - KATH BROWN OPINION

THUMBS UP

TO: So many diverse shows in the Festival of Arts this year. There really is something for everyone.

TO: Beauden Barrett saving the All Blacks again. I just wish he had done it a little sooner. Anyone who thinks he can’t kick goals consistently should look at his stats.

TO: Taranaki halfback Kendra Cocksedge and her mighty Black Ferns being crowned world champs. By the way, did you know she’s related to Beauden and Scott and Jordie?

THUMBS DOWN

TO: New Plymouth’s CBD area. It is dangerous when it’s wet. Who cares whether it’s the trees or the million dollar bluestone pavers, just fix it please, NPDC. (OK so the million dollars might be a slight exaggeration but they were very expensive.)

TO: Winston being overpaid on his super? Surely not. He would be outraged and not accept any explanation if it was any other MP.

TO: Gender voting, whether you are male or female. Intelligence is what we need, not good looks or a nice smile.
