FROM YOUR PAPER

North Taranaki Midweek - - YOUR LOCAL NEWS -

With other media filling pages, airwaves and our television screens with political stories, I thought I’d give you all a break. Let’s face it, if all those promises could be achieved we’d be the richest country in the world - and we are not.

The saddest story has to be that the Omata School children lost the plants and trees supposed to be in their garden. How is it that there are so many people who think they are entitled to help themselves to other people’s property? The good thing is that the whole community got in behind the school and most of the plants have already been replaced. On the other side of the coin, we are telling the stories of two more people who have been recognised by the mayor and council with Citizens Awards. It is people like these who more than make up for thieving lowlifes.

Once again, we have more pages of What’s On as you continue to show us how involved you are in sports, clubs, music, art etc. When it comes to the arts and sport we surely do ourselves proud.
