Ups and downs of life

North Taranaki Midweek - - YOUR LOCAL NEWS - KATH BROWN OPINION

TO: The All Blacks. Not only did they come to Taranaki to play a test, they had the decency to win. Besides the pleasure of watching the Barrett boys we all got to see the next superstar, Vaea Fifita. What an amazing athlete and a joy to watch.

TO: Politician’s promises. Bring them on I say. With every day I change my mind about how I am going to vote as the bribes, I mean pledges, get bigger and better.

TO: Television coverage of Hurricane Irma. It makes a welcome change from listening to politicians.

TO: Children with good manners. It shows their parents care about them.

TO: Politicians who are promising away our futures. Everybody knows if you spend everything you have you are in deep trouble. Back off guys and gals. Credit us with some sense.

TO: Children who eat with their mouths open. It puts other people off. Of course if you get to eat what others can’t then I suppose it’s a good idea - in theory.
