Ups and downs of life

North Taranaki Midweek - - YOUR LOCAL NEWS - KATH BROWN OPINION

THUMBS UP

TO: Dairy farmers. Don’t let them get to you. We know you’re doing a great job and we should be thanking you, not trying to close you down or tax you.

TO: Beauden Barrett. He showed those fickle reporters who doubted him last week. You just can’t trust the media to get it right.

TO: Te reo and the way so many Kiwis made themselves aware of the language and what it means to all New Zealanders. Keep it up, I say.

THUMBS DOWN

TO: People who see something bad in everything the opposite party says in this election campaign. I wish people would just listen to all sides of an argument. Isn’t that what MMP is supposed to be all about?

TO: Seasons lost. Last summer, autumn and now spring. Good luck in trying to find good weather.

TO: Thieves who are targeting tradies’ tools. Leave them alone, you low life. Tradies have to supply their own tools so you are often stealing from apprentices, people who are trying to make an honest living.
