Ups and downs of life

North Taranaki Midweek - - YOUR LOCAL NEWS - KATH BROWN OPINION

TO: The Bulls. It’s a no-brainer this week. Apart from the win last Friday, I really like the way the team kept fans and foes alike in suspense about the outcome. It added so much to the game. Of course, by the time most of you have read this, the shield could be gone. Just kidding.

TO: Oa¯kura Beach Carnival returning. This is always a great way to spend New Year’s Day and the combination of stalls and entertainment should add to the excitement.

TO: A final decision being made on who will govern the country. Most of us are sick to the back teeth of this election and who will and who won’t.

TO: Those US idiots who chanted outside McDonalds outlets (I refuse to call them restaurants because what they sell barely qualifies as food) about a lack of a particular sauce. Obviously a far more important issue than mad people in their country having access to automatic weapons.

TO: Reality wedding shows that show too much reality. Whatever happened to discretion? Oh that’s right, social media did.
