Ups and downs of life

North Taranaki Midweek - - YOUR LOCAL NEWS - KATH BROWN OPINION

THUMBS UP

TO: Clarke Gayford who will be starting a fathers’ group and a playgroup for the children at Premier House. And if not, why not?

TO: Roger Federer. He is proof that form is temporary but class is forever. It’s profitable too - he has won more than US$111 million in prizemoney. At least, even with two sets of twins he won’t have to worry about the cost of school uniforms.

TO: The mayor putting the kibosh on freedom campers making a mess all over the place and taking up parking areas so locals struggle to find a park. Once again a selfish few make life unpleasant for others.

THUMBS DOWN

TO: Jacinda’s pregnancy. I am so over this. If you believe everything you read Jesus’ birth pales into insignificance.

TO: Flies. Anyone would think we were living in Oz.

TO: The price of school uniforms. Why can’t parents buy shirts and shorts at the Warehouse? Who is making the money here?

TO: Whoever bought all the fans in town.
