North Taranaki Midweek - - YOUR LOCAL NEWS -

I hope our readers escaped the worst of that stormy weather last week. It certainly provided a sharp contrast to the uncomfortably hot days and nights of previous weeks.

Once again we have a Midweek full of interesting stories about interesting people. Our artistic community is surely second to none with so many talented artists of all genres creating first class works.

The front page lead is a reminder of our rich history and also that ours has always been a community that was ready to give to others.

Our community groups continue to add to the value of our lives with their hard work on our behalf.

On page nine we read about the changes to the mountain to surf race, surely one of the most beautiful courses in the country.

The What’s On pages are as popular as ever but I would ask you to make sure you get your submissions in by Friday before publication and I cannot guarantee to get every submission in Kath Brown
