AKAU FUNDING

Kaikohe social enterprise Akau has received five years worth of funding through Foundation North’s ‘Catalysts for Change’ programme. The funding will allow the design and architecture organisation to continue to deliver real projects to youth centred around creativity, community and design. Based in Kaikohe for over two years, Akau has worked with over 300 youth. The ‘Catalysts for Change’ programme funds and supports community organisations taking innovative approaches to identified social issues.
