Northern News - - YOUR PAPER, YOUR PLACE -

I’ve been having a sort out of my books lately.

There’s nothing better than snuggling up with a good book in winter, so it’s good timing.

Old books I’ve been keeping for ages and realised I would never read or should no longer possess ones like 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and The Horse Whisperer were given to Hospice.

I’ve started a new pile which I’ll aim to get through while semihybernating over these coming cooler months.

I’m so grateful that I enjoy reading. It’s such a great pastime, being able to escape into a vast array of different worlds.

I started reading early - and still have a few books from my childhood including The Wizard of Oz, Bad Jelly the Witch and The Ghosts who went to School - but dropped it for a few ridiculous years, before picking it up again in my 20s. Thank goodness!

I might even join the library, since it will soon be free to borrow books in the Far North. Happy reading everyone.
