Far North residents are being asked to share their ideas on how the district’s libraries can evolve to face the challenges of our changing communities in the coming decades. The Far North District Council survey is open until September 20. Spokesperson Dr Dean Myburgh said libraries are a vital community resource that also act as community hubs and meeting places. ‘‘Looking to the future, our libraries need to evolve to meet the diverse needs of our communities. More information is now available online and this is changing how people use our services. These changes also raise questions about affordability, access and how we can best continue to assist lifting literacy and education levels.’’ Visit
