Can­ter­bury Coun­try com­pleted a suc­cess­ful pre­sea­son tour of Bris­bane los­ing only one of their seven matches. Coun­try lost the tour opener against an Ash­grove In­vi­ta­tional Xl by five wick­ets but bounced back to beat the same op­po­nents by 47 runs (Jack Boyle 88). Day three was a T20 with Coun­try claim­ing a big 83 run win (Shanan Ste­wart 53). On day four had two T20 wins beat­ing Caloun­dra by 68 runs (Jeremy Ben­ton 72*) and then the Sun­shine Coast Scorchers by nine wick­ets (Jack Boyle 67*). A Joel Harden 100 not out had Coun­try make 267/6 against Wan­der­ers, who they dis­missed for 218. They fin­ished the tour with a one run win over a Wests/Lai­d­ley Xl, de­fend­ing 177.
