the NVH gubbins have gone – and added aero smarts. Utilising lightweight materials (carbon fibre body panels, magnesium wheels, acrylic plastic windows, lithiumion battery), the GT8 weighs roughly 100kg less than the standard Vantage V8. Some aerodynamic changes developed for the GTE race series make their way into the GT8, including a large front splitter and rear wing.
Design chief, Marek Reichman, said there were also aerodynamic improvements via the body surfacing. The GT8 will be available with some contrasting ‘halo’ colours, though numbers of these (e.g. Racing Green and Lime Green) will also be limited. Most tend to opt for wild colours anyway. There are lots of carbon fibre options available as well, from badges to valances, grilles to roof.
