Enhanced benefits for new taxi app
A new, enhanced smartphone booking app recently launched by nationwide taxi company Blue Bubble, in partnership with billing specialist TaxiCharge, provides improved benefits for both passengers and drivers.
Blue Bubble chief executive Bob Wilkinson, says the new app is simple to use with a four-click process. The app already has about 8000 registered users.
Passengers in a hurry no longer have to bear the frustration of not knowing when their taxi will arrive or whether it’s their taxi at the door. “You’re able to track your taxi on its way, know which taxi you have ordered and the cab number,” explains Wilkinson. “There’s no waiting around for a receipt from the driver, it’s emailed to you.”
Most passengers prefer to use the pre-authorisation facility which adds to the simplified booking process, he says. “The drivers have embraced the app and the technology. They also know when they’re getting paid through the use of the TaxiCharge system or credit card.”
In keeping with the Blue Bubble commitment to customer service, passengers are able to rate drivers, he adds. “Should we get a low rating then we will certainly be investigating that driver.”
The Blue Bubble company includes 16 taxi companies around New Zealand and was established in 2010 to combine the country’s leading taxi companies under one common brand image. The companies were selected for their key competencies and dedication to customer service.
