Prune berries

NZ Gardener - Garden Diary 2018 - - Crow For Health -

Shape up long-caned plants for next year. Blackberries, loganberries and boysenberries will have yielded their harvest of juicy berries by now and need care. Cut out the canes that have just borne fruit. Wear gloves and keep your tools sharp. Give the root zone a good dressing of rich compost that contains manure – a reward for the plant’s great fruiting effort!
