If you’ve run out of stor­age space in­doors, stash your win­ter root crops in the soil. Make a sim­ple clamp in your gar­den: scoop out soil, fill with root veges and cover with turf. This old method of stor­ing root crops is sur­pris­ingly ef­fec­tive and ro­man­tic, looked at the right way. And you’ll have more space in­doors to store other har­vests.
