Encourage birds

NZ Gardener - Garden Diary 2018 - - Garden Tasks This Week -

Don’t shoo birds away from feijoa blooms. Blackbirds and mynas act as pollinators. As they hop from one bloom to another, they spread pollen on their beaks. Feijoa flowers are edible for us too. For an early feijoa hit, pluck a few and add them to fruit salad.
