As rose petals are astringent, they can be used to tone skin, reduce acne and stop bleeding. To make a toner for the face, place dried rose petals in a clean jar and completely cover with witch hazel. Secure the lid and shake. Set aside for at least 24 hours until the colour of the petals fades. They will turn almost white. Strain into a glass bowl. Squeeze the petals to get out excess liquid. Pour into a glass jar and after cleansing, apply lightly to your skin with a cotton ball.
