WEAVING Naturally

Look to your backyard for an endless supply of materials for weaving flowers, baskets and bags.

You don't have to look far for suitable materials for weaving. The leaves from cabbage trees (cordyline), flax (phormium), irises, daylilies, dianella, watsonia and red hot pokers can all be used. Look at other less obvious materials too, like sweet corn husks, sunflower stalks and the fibrous inner material of palm fronds.
