Helleborus x sternii

NZ Gardener - - In Season -

A good cultivar, ‘Clifton’, is offered by Clifton Homestead Nursery.

The greenish flower cups are dusted on the back with pink and held in bunches on reddish stems. The serrated leaves are deep green with silver veins.

As with all hellebores, the beautiful flowers stay coloured for months and are best cut away in midsummer to allow handsome new foliage to emerge.
