Robin Boom
For the past 28 years I have worked as a selfemployed agronomist providing independent soil fertility advice to approximately 450 clients trading as Agronomic Advisory Services. I send my soil samples to Brookside Laboratories in Ohio and currently do plant tissue testing through Hill Laboratories in Hamilton. Prior to this I worked for MAF Research division as a field technician in the Agronomy section of Whatawhata Hill Country Research Station for 8 years (19791986) after graduating from Lincoln College with a Diploma in Agriculture (1977) and Diploma in Field Technology (1978). I am currently a member of the New Zealand Society of Soil Science, the New Zealand Institute of Agricultural and Horticultural Science, the New Zealand Grassland Association, The British Society of Soil Science, the Institute of Professional Soil Scientists and the Brookside Society of Professional Consultants.
