Try this and be amazed at just how good greens can be as break­fast fare. For best re­sults, slice and freeze the banana the night be­fore.

For a sin­gle serve, place a sliced banana in a blender with a hand­ful of washed, chopped greens such as kale, sil­ver­beet, spinach leaves, pars­ley, mint, co­rian­der, basil or any salad greens. Add a cup of liq­uid – water, co­conut water or fruit juice all work well – along with a good pinch of ground cin­na­mon and a lit­tle honey if you like it sweeter. Blend un­til smooth and serve im­me­di­ately.
