Bring the beach home with these easy craft ideas. Most of the projects would be en­joy­able for kids to be in­volved in too.

A sea shell wind chime is a cheap and en­joy­able project that can in­clude a trip to the beach to col­lect shells. The shells can be threaded and knot­ted onto twine, as shown, or plas­tic thread such as fish­ing line. A drill with a small drill bit is best for bor­ing the holes through the shells.

Cre­ate

a drift­wood wreath us­ing pieces of nat­u­ral drift­wood, shells and seashore finds. You’ll also need a glue gun and a base to at­tach your finds to.

These

drift­wood vo­tives are very quick to make. Use a glue gun to se­cure small drift­wood pieces around the base of each can­dle­holder then bind them dec­o­ra­tively with a few loops of twine.
