Canadian crib

NZ House & Garden - - TALKBACK -

My husband and I are New Zealanders but live in Canada. We retired 10 years ago and escape the Canadian winters every year by coming back to New Zealand for three months. On one of our trips, my husband bought me a subscription to your magazine, which I love. It was great when we renovated our lake house on Georgian Bay, Ontario, as we used ideas taken from your magazine for all aspects of the design. It was based on a modern take on a New Zealand crib. An outdoor shower was essential. In the garden, ferns and agapanthus are prominent, although the agapanthus have to be planted annually; they don’t survive the winter and are expensive. Maddening when you are a New Zealander! Diane Hardy-Rose, Ontario, Canada
