ADAIRS

Looking for quality linen on a budget? Adairs gives Christchurch people an extra option. The manchester and furniture store tends towards a feminine colour palette in its fabric designs – think duck-egg blues, millennial pinks, botanicals and florals. But the store is also an excellent source of plain white basics, as well as towels, cushions, rugs, lamps and more. Westfield Riccarton, 129 Riccarton Rd, adairs.co.nz

5TH STREET

It was built with as much recycled and second-hand material as possible, but 5th Street restaurant is no shabby-chic hipster eatery. Located in a former fruit and vegetable warehouse, the menu is based on small, medium and large plates including broccoli doughnuts with cheddar custard and mushroom and beef cheek risotto.
