This recipe makes six large jars so you will need to evenly por­tion out the in­gre­di­ents.

13½ cups rolled oats

4½ half cups brown sugar

4½ cups plain flour

4½ cups choco­late chips

4½ tsp salt

3 tsp bak­ing soda

6 tbsp dried milk

2¼ cups rolled oats

¾ cup brown su sugar ugar

¾ cup flour

¾ cup choco­lateate e chips

¾ tsp salt

½ tsp bak­ing soda

1 tbsp dried milk

Seal the jars with h screw­top lids. Place a de­scrip­tioni lblla­bel with­ith th the name of your cook­ies and the date you placed the mix in the jar. Add a tag or recipe card with the in­struc­tions for mak­ing the cook­ies.


Com­bine dry in­gre­di­ents with an egg, ¾ cup of soft but­ter and ¼ cup of wa­ter in a large bowl. Mix to blend all in­gre­di­ents. Place in spoon­fuls on a bak­ing sheet. They will spread a bit so leave a bit of room. Bake at 180°C for 10-12 min­utes. Leave them on the bak­ing pa­per un­til they are cold and place in your bis­cuit tin. They are re­ally de­li­cious and will dis­ap­pear in no time.
