BAL­SAMIC ONION BREAD TOP­PING

n Your favourite bread dough

n 2 large onions, thinly sliced

n 2 tbsp but­ter or oil

n freshly ground black pep­per er

n 1 tbsp bal­samic vine­gar

n fresh rose­mary, finely

chopped

n 1 tsp brown sugar

n ½ tsp sea salt

Fry the onions slowly in but­ter r or oil un­til they are com­pletely y translu­cent, about 45 min­utes. s. Add bal­samic vine­gar and freshly ground pep­per and gen­tly toss through. Af­ter knead­ing, lay out your bread dough in a cir­cle on a welloiled bak­ing tray. Spread onions all over the dough. Sprin­kle the rose­mary, salt and brown sugar over the onion mix­ture. Let the bread rise. Bake at 200°C for 20-30 min­utes un­til golden brown.
