Off grass

NZ Lifestyle Block - - Feature Rabbit Housing -

THIS TYPE of housing has drawbacks too: you have to take supply all food and, depending on what sort of cages you are using, you will have to clean them out more often than a ‘grass’ cage.

On the plus side, keeping rabbits off the grass makes less mess of your lawn or paddock, and daily feeding and watering tends to be faster. In winter, the rabbits will be warmer as they aren’t sitting on damp ground.

Set-up costs are higher, but in the long run you can keep more rabbits this way.
