Nutty fruit & berry cob­bler

This is prob­a­bly more of a win­ter dessert and should be eaten hot, straight from the oven. If your fam­ily loves it as much as mine, you will have to make a dou­ble batch. This can be made gluten-free us­ing self-rais­ing GF flour in­stead of reg­u­lar, and dairy-free us­ing co­conut oil and nut milk. Co­conut prod­ucts are my new yum (see my Novem­ber col­umn). Un­for­tu­nately there is not much dif­fer­ence in us­ing co­conut sugar in­stead of cane sugar in terms of the 'sugar hit', but the taste is far su­pe­rior I think. Co­conut oil is be­ing her­alded as a su­per food and it can be sub­sti­tuted for but­ter in many cases, as in this cob­bler recipe.
