Why it’s so important to check sheep twice a day
Sheep which are too fat or have too much wool are prone to getting ‘cast’, which is when they accidentally roll over onto their backs. Their short, thin legs aren't heavy enough for them to roll back over to stand up. A sheep will die in that position if left too long which is why it’s important to check your sheep first thing in the morning, and late in the day, before it gets dark.
