Tractor Pull 2017

THE NOISE, smoke and grunt of the loudest powerful motorsports competitions is the big reason why the Tractor Pull is always a crowd favourite at Fieldays. Head riverside to cheer on your favourite competitor where there’s a grandstand overlooking the action and plenty of refreshments nearby. Watch replays on the big screen.

All heats are run during the week of Fieldays, with the competition final on Saturday afternoon and the prize-giving at 3pm on the Village Green.

National Fencing Champs & free fencing demonstrations

THIS IS the premier fencing competition in the country and attracts the best fencers from all over New Zealand to compete.

Competitors erect fences as fast as possible without impeding the quality of the fence, and it’s a test of endurance too, often taking up to six hours.

If you are a novice fencer, you can also get professional help next door in the Fencing Demonstrations Area. There is free and interactive fencing advice from 10am until 3.30pm each day of Fieldays. Programmes of live and interactive demonstrations are run continuously by professional fencers and instructors.
