of live­stock on your farm, al­ways put goats through a pad­dock first as they never gain re­sis­tance to par­a­sites. Goats pre­fer to eat the top of pas­ture (as op­posed to sheep and cat­tle which like the bot­tom), and the higher the pas­ture, the fur­ther away a goat is from in­gest­ing worms/eggs in the sward (be­low the 5cm mark). There will still be plenty of good food for sheep or cat­tle that fol­low.
