MARIANI STREAMLINER, BUILT BY RAD RIDES BY TROY
Occasionally someone will build a race car to show quality, but not usually anything like this. It’s built by Troy Trepanier, so it’s no surprise that the detail and craftsmanship displayed is on par with something that should be winning the Ridler Award, but to see it on a streamliner destined for 640kph runs at Bonneville is hard to take in. Displayed on the AM Hotrod Glass stand, the clearcoated 9.7 meter long chromoly-tube space-frame vehicle sports meticulously perfect TIG welds at every junction. The beautifully handcrafted aluminium body covers a naturally-aspirated 7.0-litre Panella V8, good for 820kW delivered via a seven-speed air-shifted Liberty transmission to the Don Fergerson quick change differential and special salt flat tyres . With a land speed vehicle the custom fabricated parts list is probably longer than the car itself, but to mention a few some major items include the custom headers, fluid tanks, and an incredibly badass billet radiator.
