Four-time defending Demon Energy D1NZ DK Gaz Whiter found himself without a title sponsor, after a sudden restructure of Tectaloy Performance Coolants’ parent company AAMTech saw it cease trading in New Zealand, and with that came the sponsorship withdrawal. “We are thankful to have had a very supportive partner for a long time, and have been proud to be associated with the growth of the Tectaloy brand and to have won several titles in its colours,” Whiter says.

Thankfully the five-time New Zealand DK will continue the season as planned, with current sponsor Fenix Radiators stepping up as namingright sponsor for the remaining rounds of the Demon Energy D1NZ National Drifting Championship. The team has also welcomed Hitachi Power Tools NZ and Moonlight Racing on board, and has been supplied with a full Origin Labo kit and carbon doors. Brown Brothers Industries also took the opportunity to redesign the glivery incorprating the new parterns alongside longstanding sponsors such as NAC Insurance and Wongs Kitchen.

Gaz sits in seventh place at the time of printing, with three rounds to play out.
