Paint protection films are most often found on high-end dream cars like McLaren, Ferrari, Porsche, and BMWs — infact, here at home, the guys at McLaren won’t sell a new car without first having it wrapped in paint protection film to ensure the best possible care of the painted surfaces. However, that doesn’t mean it isn’t cost-effective for the everyday vehicle. Templates are loaded from a library of thousands of vehicles and cut to suit any panel to pinpoint accuracy. Protect Auto Paint Protection owner Alan Heath tells us the first step comes down to determining how much coverage a client would like on their vehicle. You can choose what areas to focus on, be it the bumper, bonnet, guards, or wrap the entire vehicle if you’re that’s what you’re after; which will offer the best protection of your vehicles paintwork. Guaranteed clear, non-yellowing and mould-resistant products are the standard today, and Alan recommends the use of 3M Pro series and PremiumShield Elite protection films for optimal protective properties with great gloss, stain resistance, and longer life of the product. Constructed from rugged, clear polyurethane plastic laminated with a clear-coat finish for maximum shine, the films are form fitting to maintain the vehicle’s original look while protecting the value of any car. When it comes to cleaning, simply remove any marks and debris by washing the film as you would the paint, and where needed, use a wax and grease remover to get rid of any particularly difficult marks. Best of all, these films will not damage the surface of your vehicle and can be removed whenever you want. Cost effective, high quality paint protection made easy.
