EN­GINE: Nis­san VR38DETT, 3800cc, V6, twin-turbo POWER: Re­stricted to 410kW at 6400rpm, 650Nm+ at 4000rpm HO­MOLO­GATED WEIGHT: 1290kg the Australian GT Cham­pi­onship, and it will be the first time for Michael Caruso be­hind the wheel of the GT3 for a race, his nor­mal seat be­ing in the Team Kelly– run Nis­san Al­tima Su­per­car. Michael has tested in the car both in Ja­pan dur­ing the 2015 Nismo Fes­ti­val and, more re­cently, at Phillip Is­land, where he soon looked right at home following some ad­vice from new team­mate Matt.

Michael said, “I am a life­long GT-R fan, and I’ve had the chance to test the car a cou­ple of times now. So, it will be great to race it at these two New Zealand events along­side our Aussie [Nis­san PlayS­ta­tion] GT Academy win­ner, Matt Sim­mons, who has been rac­ing one of these cars this year in Europe.”

Hamp­ton Downs 101 will take place on Oc­to­ber 28– 30, which will be the first time any­one races on the new in­ter­na­tional cir­cuit, and marks the grand re­open­ing for the re­vamped fa­cil­ity.
