Big block EG

-

Starting from a rolling body, Josh Wiltshire originally repowered his EG Civic with a stock B18C before growing bored of the power. He had one of three choices, as he explained: “I either went boosted B-series with a turbo or supercharger, or chuck[ed] in a bigger motor.”

Opting to go for the bigger motor — leaving the door open for forced later on — Josh acquired an H22A and used an Evolution H2B kit and mated a ’96-spec ITR box to it. It punches out a super-respectable 147kW at the wheels as tuned by Jonno Fowler. You’ll also notice that the factory dash has been binned for a DC2 Type R unit, while the exterior wears a C-West front bumper, 16x8-inch Enkei RPF1s, and has been finished in champagne gold by good mate Glen Deo. Stopping power comes by way of Prelude calipers, and underneath is a gaggle of Hardrace arms paired with Yellow Speed coilovers, as well as front and rear 24mm sway bars.
