HOW DO I CHOOSE AN AGENT?
WARREN ALCOCK HENRY BATES TIM CASTLE TOM DOWNEY KENT HALE CRAIG INNES DAVID JONES DANIEL KANE SIMON PORTER MIKE ROGERS BRUCE SHARROCK SHANE SINGE MARK WILSON It’s important the player does not just go with the first agent he comes into contact with. This is especially an issue for young players who may be impressed by the talk of an agent. It is a competitive market and there are good agents and bad – some will not hesitate to stretch the truth and act aggressively in order to secure a player. It is important the player talks to someone they trust about the situation – preferably parents, guardians or someone who fills a similar role. Visit the Players’ Association website www.nzrpa.co.nz. Become familiar with the NZRPA Agent Charter and view the agents who are accredited or provisionally accredited by the NZRPA.
