ST. BEDE’S COLLEGE
Despite an inexperienced roster, the defending champions should be in the hunt again. St. Bede’s have been strong in the Under 15 grade, achieving top three finishes at Nationals in the last two years. Replacing Andrew Langley as coach is Gerry Davidson. He brings a wealth of experience having coached the team for more than a decade previously. Fullback Zach McKay is a potent attacking threat with strong national selection prospects. Year 12 Jake Keenan is likely to play first-five. He had a stellar summer in Sevens with his searing pace and silky skills troubling most opponents. Historically St. Bede’s produce a busy and uncompromising set of forwards and this year should be no exception. Prop James Anderson will anchor the scrum as the only Year 14 in the team while Thomas AdamCarter is a versatile and solid performer. Connor Sullivan is a 1.96m lock who will seek to emulate the feats of the Tucker brothers, both of whom made the New Zealand Schools. No 8 Oliver Brunton is a tireless worker.
