Inspirational captain Todd Clever is the face of American rugby. His commitment and combative style are unquestioned. After two seasons in South Africa with the Lions he has experienced competing against some of the world’s best loose-forwards. Chris Wyles is another to look out for. He scored a try in Saracens’ recent English Premiership final success and is USA’s most capped fullback.
A GOOD TOURNAMENT FOR THEM?
A win over Japan is achievable and there’s a strong possibility they could face a weakened Boks team who may take them lightly. Samoa and Scotland also have the potential to turn up expecting to win. Complacency is always dangerous.
