BULLS

RECRUITMENT BALANCE

They didn’t lose their best players in the same sort of numbers that they did after the last World Cup. But that’s more because they barely have any left. A couple more half decent blokes who have been around a bit are heading to Europe and the only plus for the Bulls was that they managed to persuade Lood de Jagar to join them.

WHAT CAN WE EXPECT TACTICALLY?

We can’t even say they will bring a big pack, a big boot and no imagination any more. Not sure how they will play but more pertinently, nor are they.

GUT FEEL – RISERS OR FALLERS?

They are a side in decline. They look weaker overall than last year and it is clear that South African players don’t want to be playing their club football in South Africa.

WHERE WILL THEY FINISH?

Probably out of the running. The Stormers will pip them again and the Bulls won’t have enough points for a wildcard.
