The Under 20s won the Junior World Championship in Tbilisi when they stormed through their group and then crushed France and England.

Their victory in the final against the latter was a demolition job that showed the young Kiwis’ power, pace and skill.

Their triumph is the sixth time New Zealand have won the title.

The Black Ferns Sevens finished another strong year by winning the World Series Sevens title.

The Black Ferns Sevens beat France in their semifinal, meaning they couldn’t be caught by nearest challengers Australia and Canada. They went on to beat Australia 22-7 in the tournament final in France to seal a fourth series title since it began back in 2012.
