NZ Rugby World - - Rising From The Ashes -

NEW ZEALAND 18-20 FRANCE / October 6, 2007 / Cardiff, Wales The French, with some players wearing red tops, others white and some blue to represent the national flag, faced the haka in arrow formation then advanced to the halfway line to confront the All Blacks. It was tense and indicative of the ferocity that awaited. All Blacks enjoy a prolonged attacking spell where they are fluid and cohesive, making their passes stick and breaking tackles. A chip and chase by Luke McAlister leads to the French killing the ball and Dan Carter slotting the penalty from 25 metres out. NZ 3-0 FRANCE A superb break by McAlister sets up the chance for Ali Williams to go in at the corner. But he clips touch on the dive. From the defensive lineout, the French clear, but a quick throw-in sees McAlister make another tremendous bust, feed to Jerry Collins and then take the return pass to score. NZ 10-0 FRANCE
