Lineouts are no longer the franchise’s Achilles heel and Fatialofa’s influence has extended to the breakdown where he moves his share of bodies.
With the locking stocks more lean than muscular, Fatialofa’s reliability to get his job done makes him invaluable to the side, much like a Sam Whitelock.
RICKY RICCITELLI
Likewise, Ricky Riccitelli’s worth to the side is in his immense insurance value due to his reliability.
With Coles ruled out of most of 2017, Riccitelli fronted beyond expectations and nailed his work, something that may be required again as Coles faces a delayed re-entry after his knee injury against France.
The Taranaki hooker may not possess the natural gifts of his fellow number twos but he has runs on the board after taking the team to the semifinals last time around. With a green and raw-boned Aumua the other hooking option, Riccitelli will be the lead man once again.
