Hi Sarah, As a three-year subscriber and having just paid the $150 package for the next three years I would like to raise a couple of points:
1) Why have the small inset location maps for the feature articles disappeared from Issue 53?? I thought they were of great benefit when they were included some issues ago! Sawcut Gorge—I had to read through to the ninth paragraph before I knew it was in the South Island—the article was interesting and a place that will be added to my bucket list.
2) One of your readers some time ago queried the need for a book review page-your answer (very reluctantly accepted) was that many people on holiday enjoy some good reading and that was the reason the page was included. The same cannot be said for the DVD review page—just a waste of a page that could be utilised for more interesting matters. Regards, Graeme Ford. Geraldine-South Canterbury ED. Hi Graeme, point taken re the maps and they have now reappeared. A number of people have said how useful they are. Mark Merriman’s Sawcut Gorge article is one of the places we have had the most positive response to and I am so glad it is on your bucket list. Mine too. Re the On Film section, dare I say, people might want to rent a DVD while they are on holiday??
