ARB is on your side

NZ4WD - - Recovery Equipment -

When your vehicle’s caught in a torrential downpour on a steep bush track or stuck in knee deep mud the reliability, performance and durability of your recovery gear is paramount. ARB’s vehicle recovery accessories are engineered and manufactured to the highest standards, making them ideal for recreational use as well as competition.

Recovery straps

ARB’s recovery straps, for instance, are woven and fabricated to strict quality specifications and tested by a NATA approved laboratory to ensure optimum performance. A full range of high quality straps are available, each specifically designed to suit its purpose and give you peace of mind during your next recovery.

Snatch strap

Specifically designed to stretch under load for maximum performance, an ARB snatch strap is a very effective method of extracting a bogged or immobilised 4WD when a second vehicle is present. The unique design of the strap allows it to stretch and return to its original length, aiding recovery and greatly reducing the likelihood of vehicle damage.

Tree trunk protectors

When using a tree as an anchor point in a recovery situation, wrapping cable, rope or chain around it causes damage to both your equipment and the tree. Keep your anchor point unharmed and able to be used again by you or a fellow 4WDer with ARB’s tree trunk protectors.

Winch extension straps

An ARB winch extension strap is a lightweight non-stretch strap perfect for extending the length of your winch’s cable when the most suitable anchor point is out of reach.

Snatch blocks

An ARB snatch allows you to retrieve loads that are double a winch’s capacity by reducing the load on the winch by half, and facilitating winching from varying angles when straight ahead isn’t the best option.

Recovery damper

In the unlikely event of a wire rope or strap failure, a recovery damper will absorb most of the energy in the cable or strap, thereby significantly reducing the recoil. Manufactured from heavy duty vinyl with a silver reflective tape for visibility at night and Velcro to reduce slipping, ARB recovery dampers are a reliable and durable choice.

X-Jack exhaust jack

The easy to store X-Jack is an invaluable recovery tool when you find yourself stuck in sand, mud or snow. It inflates via a hose that connects to your vehicle’s exhaust or a portable air compressor to offer up to 75cm of vehicle lift and a lifting capacity of 4000kg. The X-Jack has been specifically designed to help keep the unit on the ground and avoid sinkage.

Magnum hand winch

When heavy duty recovery work is required, a mechanical hand winch is a cost effective alternative to a vehicle mounted winch. Providing outstanding performance and reliability, the compact and lightweight Magnum hand winch is extremely durable, built using high quality steel and aluminium components.

Recovery points

Strong, reliable recovery points are essential for off-road driving but the lack of industry standards regarding rated tow points has caused confusion among four wheel drivers for many years. ARB aims to make it easy to find the correct recovery point for each individual customer with an engineered ‘Recovery Train’ in which each vehicle specific recovery point is rated for use with a 4.75t rated bow shackle and 8000kg snatch strap.

Electric winches

The ARB Network also have available a wide range of Electric Winches to suit your vehicle and Application.
