Iron­man 4x4 camp­ing op­tions


Get­ting out of the of­fice or away from your busy city life might be just what you need this sum­mer, and Iron­man 4x4 has a range of prod­ucts to make camp­ing and ex­plor­ing the out­doors that much eas­ier and fun. Why bother look­ing for a ho­tel or a camp­ing ground when you can have a rooftop tent at­tached to your ve­hi­cle which only takes a few min­utes to set up and needs lit tle more room than your ve­hi­cle? Iron­man 4x4’s lux­ury rooftop tent has a num­ber of fea­tures in­clud­ing a raised “cli­mate cover” fly­sheet to con­trol tem­per­a­ture and re­duce con­den­sa­tion, plus popup awning and fly­screen win­dows, all made from a pre­mium qual­ity wa­ter­proof, breath­able rip­stop ma­te­rial. The ac­tual floor of the rooftop tent is made from alu­minium, is in­su­lated, and to en­sure a good night’s sleep, comes com­plete with a lux­ury 65mm high den­sity foam mat­tress. Ac­cess is via a re­tractable alu­minium lad­der with the en­trance un­der cover to keep you dry on those wet days. When set up, the tent mea­sures 1.4m wide by 2.4m long and 1.3m high, and can eas­ily be set up, com­ing com­plete with tools and in­struc­tions; when be­ing trans­ported it is cov­ered by a wa­ter­proof cover. An op­tion with the tent is the an­nexe to en­close the area out to the side of the ve­hi­cle.

In­stant awnings

Also avail­able from Iron­man 4x4 are in­stant awnings. These are made from a wa­ter­proof, breath­able rip­stop can­vas ma­te­rial with 100-per­cent UV pro­tec­tion and mould re­sis­tance. Guy ropes and pegs are in­cluded and are quick to erect with strong self stand­ing ex­tend­able alu­minium legs. The awning mounts di­rectly to most roof racks and comes in four dif­fer­ent sizes. Room en­clo­sures are avail­able for all sizes to make a quick and com­fort­able camp­ing plat­form.


While in the out­doors it is im­por­tant to keep those drinks and food items cool, and that’s where the Iron­man 4x4 Ice Cube range of fridge / freez­ers come into play. There are five in the range ( 30, 40, 50, 65 and a mas­sive 74-litre op­tion and they use the lat­est Se­cop ( formerly Dan­foss) com­pres­sors Iron­man 4x4 Ice Cube Fridge/ Freez­ers are de­signed to op­er­ate on 12/ 24V or 100240V sys­tems while the elec­tron­i­cally con­trolled com­pres­sor has a cool­ing ca­pac­ity of -18deg.C and can be used as a fridge or freezer.

Other out­door equip­ment

This in­cludes Iron­man 4x4’s strong and soft arm fold­able chairs which are rat­ing to 150kg and have side pouches for stor­age and in­su­lated cup hold­ers; there’s also a recharge­able camp shower, food grade sil­i­cone prod­ucts such as col­lapsi­ble buck­ets, a ket­tle and even a fold­able bush toi­let!
